About the artist
Born in Manchester, UK, Claire discovered her passion for art at an early age, nurtured by her Grandmother, who taught her the fundamentals of drawing and painting.
Encouraged by her family, she began entering art competitions as a child, achieving numerous accolades. Among her early achievements was being presented with an award by Artist Harold Riley, a close friend of the renowned artist L.S. Lowry, one of Claire’s earliest artistic influences.
Claire pursued formal studies in art and graphic design where she developed a style inspired by a diverse range of artists, including L.S. Lowry’s evocative depictions of northern England, Keith Haring’s bold and vibrant forms, Edward Hopper’s exploration of light and solitude, Andy Warhol’s pioneering pop art aesthetic and Patrick Nagel’s iconic and striking portrayals of modern women.
These influences shaped her artistic voice, blending boldness with a distinct graphic quality.
Her own work gained recognition through features in local and national publications and she achieved further acclaim when she designed the winning logo for Manchester Storm Ice Hockey Club’s fan magazine.
In 2017, Claire embarked on a deeply personal artistic challenge inspired by the grief of losing her beloved dog at only 1.5 years old. She created pet portraits representing each state in the U.S.A, raising awareness and funds for the Animal Cancer Foundation. This ambitious project resulted in artworks that now adorn homes across all 50 states, from Alaska to Hawaii, and have reached every continent worldwide.
Today, Claire continues to draw inspiration from the artists who have shaped her creative journey while using her art to support animal charities, with a particular focus on dogs.
She regularly donates proceeds from her artwork sales to fundraise for her local dog shelter, where she also volunteers her time.
